Brief description of the research
The subject of Dr. Igor Saveljić's research is the field of computational fluid dynamics and numerical simulations. The emphasis is on the study of blood flow through blood vessels and the problems that arise in this process, as well as on determining the causes that lead to the process of atherosclerosis in the coronary and carotid arteries and the methods of its further development using computer numerical simulations. The starting point is real DICOM images obtained from the world's leading clinical centers. By applying modern software solutions, they are reconstructed into 3D models that serve as an input for further three-dimensional solving of blood flow problems.
