First, Jelena \u0110orovi\u0107 Jovanovi\u0107's research work was focused on examining the structure and antioxidant activity of natural phenolic compounds, while she further examined the antioxidant and pro-oxidative properties of synthetic phenolic compounds - Schiff bases and their complexes with metals. Later research work was focused on examining the antioxidant activity of natural and synthetic compounds, as well as examining their interaction with proteins. Current research includes examining the inhibitory capacity of various compounds (antioxidants and drugs) and their interactions with proteins.
