ABOUT <\/strong>INSTITUTE<\/strong><\/p>

The Institute of Information Technologies Kragujevac, founded on June 6, 2019 by a decision of the Government of the Republic of Serbia, is a state-owned scientific research institute and the youngest member of the University of Kragujevac. The establishment of the Institute established a modern institutional framework for the development of cutting-edge research in the fields of information technologies and their applications in natural and mathematical, technical and technological, medical, biotechnical and social and humanistic sciences.<\/p>

The Institute is conceived as a multidisciplinary research center that connects different scientific fields through the application of digital technologies, computer modeling, artificial intelligence, data analysis and modern experimental approaches. Such a work model enables close cooperation between research groups of different profiles, increases the scope and quality of scientific research work and creates conditions for the development of innovative solutions of importance for science, economy and society.<\/p>

The Institute's special focus is on the development of digitally transformed science, in which information technologies are the basis of modern research processes. The application of advanced computational methods enables the prediction of key processes, optimization of experimental protocols, more efficient use of resources, reduction of research costs and acceleration of the development of new technologies and products. In this way, the Institute contributes to sustainable development, green transition and responsible use of scientific infrastructure.<\/p>

The Institute's research work encompasses fundamental, applied and developmental research, as well as knowledge and technology transfer activities. Through cooperation with industry and the public sector, the Institute develops partnerships aimed at commercializing research results, strengthening innovation potential and solving specific societal and industrial challenges.<\/p>

The Institute actively participates in the education of young professionals through master's and doctoral studies in cooperation with the faculties of the University of Kragujevac, as well as through professional development, non-formal education and international mobility programs. At the same time, through participation in national and international projects, Erasmus+ programs and other initiatives, the Institute strengthens its international visibility and positions itself as a relevant regional center of excellence in the field of information technologies and multidisciplinary research.<\/p>

STRATEGIC GOALS OF THE INSTITUTE FOR INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY<\/strong><\/p>

  • Developing scientific excellence through digitally transformed and multidisciplinary research based on information technologies.<\/li>
  • Positioning the Institute as an internationally recognized research center through strong internationalization and project competitiveness.<\/li>
  • Strengthening technology transfer, innovation potential and cooperation with industry to create socially and economically relevant solutions.<\/li>
  • Development of modern research infrastructure and accreditation of centers of excellence in key scientific areas.<\/li>
  • Improving institutional capacities and a sustainable funding model through diversification of revenue sources and development of research support.<\/li><\/ul>

    SPECIFIC GOALS<\/strong><\/p>

    • Improving the application of information technologies, computer modeling and data analysis in multidisciplinary research.<\/li>
    • Increasing the number and quality of publications in international journals and strengthening the scientific visibility of the Institute.<\/li>
    • Active participation in national and international research projects and development of new strategic partnerships.<\/li><\/ul>

      Development of systems for intellectual property protection, patent application and commercialization of research results.<\/p>

      • Improving laboratory, digital and experimental capacities, including the development of higher TRL level technologies.<\/li>
      • Establishing and developing institutional support for research through the work of the International Advisory Board (IAB), the International Cooperation and Projects Office (ICPO), and the Technology Transfer Office.<\/li>
      • Support for the development of human resources, young researchers and interdisciplinary educational activities.<\/li>
