Science<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p><p>On 31 August 2026, a ceremonial presentation of awards to the recipients of the Public Call for Financial Support for Science Promotion and Popularization Projects was held at the Jevremovac Botanical Garden in Belgrade.<\/p><p>This year\u2019s Public Call supported 54 projects in two categories, with a total value of RSD 17 million. Among the selected projects is \u201cTesting the Waters of Kragujevac\u201d, submitted by our Institute. The project leader is Dr. Marina Kosti\u0107, while Dr. Emina Mrkali\u0107 is a member of the project team.<\/p><p>The ceremony opened with an address by Iris Leki\u0107, Acting Director of the Center for the Promotion of Science, followed by an address from Minister of Science, Technological Development and Innovation, Academician Professor Dr. Bela Balint. On this occasion, the importance of investing in programs that bring science closer to citizens and contribute to strengthening scientific literacy was
