Brief description of the research

Aleksandar Milovanović's research is focused on studying the development of atherosclerosis in the carotid and coronary arteries, using advanced data processing techniques and numerical modeling.

He is engaged in the development of models for computer simulations based on the finite element method, with the aim of better understanding hemodynamic parameters and their role in the development of atherosclerotic changes.

A separate segment of the research relates to the analytical, numerical and experimental approach to determining FFR (Fractional Flow Reserve), an index that represents the gold standard in assessing the functional significance of coronary artery stenosis.
