Brief description of the research
The researcher is investigating various biological activities of newly synthesized phenolic and non-phenolic pyrazole-chromeno[2,3-d]pyrimidine derivatives.
So far, various methods have been applied in vitro methods for assessing the antioxidant activity of these compounds. The interactions of the newly synthesized compounds with DNA and bovine serum albumin (BSA) were investigated by UV-Vis spectrophotometric and spectrofluorimetric techniques, based on which the binding constants and the mechanism of interaction with DNA were determined.
They were also carried out in vitro antigenotoxicity tests to assess antioxidant activity and the degree of DNA protection after damage caused by hydroxyl and peroxyl radicals.
In the coming period, it is planned to in vivo experiments, in order to obtain more precise and realistic data on genotoxic and antigenotoxic activity and evaluate the potential application of newly synthesized compounds.
