Истраживачи Института за информационе технологије представили су свој допринос развоју једног од најзначајнијих домаћих софтверских система
Документарни филм „ПАК“, посвећен развоју и значају Програма за Aнализу Kонструкција (ПАК), емитован је на програму РТС 2 у петак, 3. јула. Филм представља свеобухватан приказ настанка, развоја и научног значаја овог софтверског система, који већ више од пет деценија представља једно од најзначајнијих достигнућа Србије у области рачунске механике и нумеричког моделирања.
Развој ПАК-а започет је у Крагујевцу под руководством академика Милоша Којића, а током година овај софтвер постао је основа за моделирање конструкција и симулацију сложених физичких процеса у инжењерству, грађевинарству, машинству, биомедицини и другим научним областима. ПАК је омогућио развој методологија и компјутерских модела за анализу најсложенијих конструкција, укључујући аутомобиле, железничка возила и велике инфраструктурне објекте, као што је брана Ђердап. Истовремено, његова примена значајно је проширена и на биоинжењеринг, где се користи за моделирање процеса као што су раст плака у артеријама, раст и лечење тумора, као и прогнозирање развоја кардиоваскуларних обољења.
Посебно место у документарном филму заузимају искуства истраживача Института за информационе технологије Универзитета у Крагујевцу, који су својим научним радом дали значајан допринос даљем развоју и примени ПАК-а у савременим истраживањима. У филму говоре др Снежана Вуловић, др Александар Николић, др Миљан Милошевић, др Владимир Симић, др Богдан Милићевић и др Милица Николић. Кроз своја сведочења представљају улогу ПАК-а у развоју нумеричког моделирања, биомеханике, транспортних процеса, мултифизичких симулација и нових рачунарских метода, као и његов значај за развој научних каријера, међународне сарадње и реализацију бројних националних и међународних истраживачких пројеката.
Документарни филм „ПАК“ представља сведочанство о пола века развоја једне научне идеје која је прерасла у међународно признату истраживачку платформу. Истовремено, он је и признање генерацијама истраживача чији су знање, посвећеност и визија допринели да ПАК постане препознатљив симбол домаће научне изврсности и иновација.
PAK Documentary: Five Decades of a Serbian Scientific Idea Тhat Gained International Recognition
Researchers from the Institute for Information Technologies presented their contribution to the development of one of Serbia’s most significant software systems
The documentary film “PAK”, dedicated to the development and scientific significance of the Program for Analysis of Structures (PAK), was broadcast on RTS 2 on Friday, July 3. The film provides a comprehensive overview of the origins, evolution, and scientific impact of this software system, which has been recognized for more than five decades as one of Serbia’s most important achievements in computational mechanics and numerical modeling.
The development of PAK began in Kragujevac under the leadership of Academician Miloš Kojić. Over the years, the software has evolved into a powerful platform for structural analysis and the simulation of complex physical processes across engineering, civil engineering, mechanical engineering, biomedicine, and other scientific disciplines. PAK has enabled the development of advanced computational methodologies and numerical models for analyzing highly complex structures, including automobiles, railway vehicles, and major infrastructure projects such as the Iron Gate Dam. At the same time, its applications have expanded significantly into bioengineering, where it is used to model processes such as arterial plaque growth, tumor growth and treatment, as well as the prediction of cardiovascular diseases.
The documentary also highlights the contributions of researchers from the Institute for Information Technologies, University of Kragujevac, whose scientific work has played an important role in the further development and application of PAK in contemporary research. Featured in the film are Dr. Snežana Vulović, Dr. Aleksandar Nikolić, Dr. Miljan Milošević, Dr. Vladimir Simić, Dr. Bogdan Milićević, and Dr. Milica Nikolić. Through their personal experiences, they demonstrate how PAK has become an indispensable tool in numerical modeling, biomechanics, transport phenomena, multiphysics simulations, and the development of advanced computational methods. They also emphasize its importance for scientific career development, international collaboration, and the implementation of numerous national and international research projects.
The documentary film “PAK” stands as a testament to five decades of continuous development of a scientific idea that has grown into an internationally recognized research platform. At the same time, it pays tribute to the generations of researchers whose knowledge, dedication, and vision have established PAK as a symbol of scientific excellence and innovation in Serbia.
