The Institute of Information Technologies unites several scientific fields, through the application of information technologies in natural and mathematical, technical and technological, medical, biotechnical and social sciences, thereby establishing closer cooperation between research groups with different research focuses, and significantly increasing the scope and quality of scientific and research work and improving opportunities for multidisciplinary research. Given the trends in modern science, with the increasing influence of computer science and information and communication technologies, the mission of the Institute will be precisely to advance in the field of information technologies through research, development and education. The multidisciplinarity of research will be one of the development guidelines, so that the Institute will be able to follow the development of modern science.
Objectives of the Institute:
- Multidisciplinary scientific research; application of information technologies; research and experimental development in natural and mathematical, medical, technical and technological sciences and social and humanistic sciences;
- Applying and participating in the implementation of national and international projects, cooperation with the Science Fund of the Republic of Serbia, the Ministry of Science, Technological Development and Innovation, the Ministry of Education.ucceed with Personalized Feedback
- Research and development of laboratory and semi-industrial technologies
- Auxiliary scientific and research activities: scientific documentation, standardization, methodology, patent documentation, application of technical solutions.
- Consultative services and development reports in the fields of chemical, biological, physical, mathematical, medical, technical and social-humanistic sciences.

The Institute's scientific and research work is oriented towards fundamental and applied research through a basic research and basic directed research program, a research program in the field of technological development, and a program for the transfer of knowledge and technologies and encouraging the application of scientific and research results. Cooperation with partners from industry will create opportunities for additional education of employees in partner companies. The Institute will participate in the implementation of master's and doctoral study programs run by faculties or the University, which will be designed to fully meet the needs of modern society (industry or public sector). Also, by networking with the TEMPUS Foundation and through Erasmus+ programs, the Institute will contribute to internationalization and positioning in the global research space, by participating in international projects and initiatives in the field of information technologies.
