Dr Nenad Janković
Brief description of the research
The research interest of Dr. Nenad Janković is focused on the development of green and sustainable methods of organic synthesis, primarily for the preparation of Biginelli, as well as quinoxolinone, benzoxazinone and benzylidene derivatives. All obtained derivatives were subjected to pharmacological and biological testing, whereby the most active compounds against certain tumors were identified, which are currently in the preliminary stages of preclinical testing. The second part of the research relates to the synthesis and application of pharmacologically active ionic liquids. In the following projects, the synthesis of a library of tetrahydropyrimidines as potential inhibitors of specific biological targets is planned.
