Brief description of the research

The focus of Dr. Dragana Šeklić's research is on studying the anticancer effect of newly synthesized chemical complexes and bioactive substances from natural sources. In particular, the focus is on the molecular mechanisms of migration and invasion, as well as key signaling pathway proteins involved in these processes. A significant part of the research also includes coculture systems, i.e. interactions between microorganisms and colorectal cancer cells , with the aim of better understanding the influence of the microenvironment on tumor progression.
