Brief description of the research
Dr. Žiko Milanović's research is focused on examining and defining the mechanisms of antioxidant activity of various polyphenolic compounds using modern spectroscopic (EPR, DPPH, ABTS, FRAP, CUPRAC) and computational methods.
In addition, he is engaged in the analysis of structural properties of molecules (NBO, QTAIM) to determine reactivity and stability, as well as the application of molecular docking and molecular dynamics to assess inhibitory activity and rational drug design.
The use of computational tools allows predicting the binding modes of newly synthesized compounds to target proteins and defining their therapeutic potential.
