Катарина Пецић добитница гранта FEBS-а за учешће на једном од најзначајнијих европских научних скупова у области молекуларних бионаука
Истраживачица Института за информационе технологије Универзитета у Крагујевцу, Катарина Пецић, успешно је представила резултате свог докторског истраживања на 50. конгресу FEBS-а (Federation of European Biochemical Societies), одржаном од 4. до 8. јула у Мастрихту, у Холандији. Конгрес FEBS-а један је од најзначајнијих европских научних скупова у области молекуларних бионаука и окупља истраживаче из академског и индустријског сектора из целог света.
На конгресу је представила резултате истраживања усмереног на развој нових потенцијалних хемотерапеутика за лечење троструко негативног карцинома дојке, једног од најагресивнијих облика ове болести. Истраживање спроводи у оквиру свог докторског рада, у сарадњи са Фраунхофер институтом за ћелијску терапију и имунологију IZI у Лајпцигу и Универзитетом примењених наука и уметности у Кобургу, у Немачкој, где се тренутно налази на истраживачком усавршавању.
Посебно признање представља то што је Катарина добитница гранта FEBS-а, који се додељује одабраним младим истраживачима као подршка за представљање њихових научних резултата на овом престижном међународном скупу. Ова подршка представља потврду квалитета истраживања и признање потенцијала младих научника на европском нивоу.
Учешће на конгресу FEBS-а доприноси јачању међународне научне сарадње, размени знања и афирмацији истраживачког рада Института за информационе технологије. Честитамо Катарини на овом значајном успеху и желимо јој много успеха у даљем научноистраживачком раду.

Researcher at the Institute for Information Technologies Presented Doctoral Research Results at the 50th FEBS Congress
Katarina Pecić Awarded a FEBS Grant to Participate in One of Europe’s Leading Scientific Conferences in Molecular Biosciences
Katarina Pecić, a researcher at the Institute for Information Technologies, University of Kragujevac, successfully presented the results of her doctoral research at the 50th FEBS Congress (Federation of European Biochemical Societies), held from 4 to 8 July in Maastricht, the Netherlands. The FEBS Congress is one of Europe’s leading scientific conferences in the field of molecular biosciences, bringing together researchers from academia and industry from around the world.
At the congress, she presented research results focused on the development of new potential chemotherapeutic agents for the treatment of triple-negative breast cancer, one of the most aggressive forms of the disease. The research is being conducted as part of her doctoral work, in collaboration with the Fraunhofer Institute for Cell Therapy and Immunology IZI in Leipzig and Coburg University of Applied Sciences and Arts in Coburg, Germany, where she is currently undertaking a research stay.
A special recognition is Katarina’s FEBS grant, awarded to selected young researchers as support for presenting their scientific results at this prestigious international conference. This support confirms the quality of her research and recognizes the potential of young scientists at the European level.
