Dr Aleksandra Milošković

Scientific research includes complete hydrobiological research of aquatic ecosystems. Various communities of freshwater invertebrates and vertebrates are studied. A special emphasis of research is on the detection of potentially toxic elements in the edible part (meat) of commercially important fish species.

The presence of microplastics in aquatic ecosystems in Serbia is also being investigated. The analysis includes the content of microplastics in the digestive tract of the freshwater, pelagic species of eel (Alburnus alburnus) in reservoirs in Serbia and beyond. Ecotoxicological research has also been initiated on embryos of the zebrafish species (Danio rerio).
