Dr Darko Ašanin

The reactions of essential metal ions (Zn(II), Cu(II), Fe(III) and Co(III)), as well as metal ions important in medicine (Ag(I), Pt(II), Au(III), Bi(III), Ga(III) and Ru(III)) with natural products obtained with the help of bacteria through the fermentation process (pyocyanin, pyrrolnitrin, pyoverdine, undecylprodigiosin and staurosporine) are investigated under different experimental conditions (molar ratio of reactants, temperature, solvent, pH) using spectroscopic, potentiometric and electrochemical methods.
