Brief description of the research

Dejan Arsenijevic's research focuses on co-cultures, probiotics, and the anticancer effects of probiotic strains, with a special emphasis on epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) mechanisms and combination therapy.

In the coming period, the development of more complex 3D model systems, such as spheroids, as well as work on immortalized colorectal cancer cell lines is planned.

The researcher plans to specialize in bioinformatics tools and acquire the basics of programming in Python, with the aim of integrating experimental and computational approaches.
