Brief description of the research

Marija Branković's research is at the intersection of biomedical engineering, chemistry, and the application of advanced materials in medicine. A particular focus is on the design and characterization of new small molecules with antioxidant, cytotoxic, and antibacterial activity, as well as their potential application in disease therapy and prevention.

In addition, it reviews and analyzes the application of bioinspired materials, such as spider silk, in tissue engineering, as well as the application of artificial intelligence and fuzzy logic in tumor characterization and clinical decision support.
