Истраживачи Института др Драгана Шеклић, др Милена др Владимир Симић, др Емилија Миловић и Лазар Миловић, учествовали су на радионици пројекта GlioLighT – „Next Generation Glioma Treatments“, која је одржана 1. и 2. септембра 2026. године у Институту за нуклеарне науке „Винча“, Универзитета у Београду.
Радионица је организована у оквиру Horizon Europe EIC Pathfinder Open пројекта GlioLighT и окупила је истраживаче и студенте заинтересоване за примену светлосних технологија у савременом приступу лечењу глиома и других тумора мозга.
Током првог дана одржан је теоријски део радионице, у оквиру којег су чланови међународног конзорцијума представили основе примене ласера у онкологији, са посебним освртом на терапијске приступе код глиобластома. Предавања и дискусије обухватили су теме везане за фотодинамичку терапију (photodynamic therapy, PDT), као и за нови приступ заснован на директној примени светлости – Direct Light Therapy (DLT).
Експериментални део радионице одржан је 1. и 2. септембра у Лабораторији за атомску физику и Лабораторији за молекуларну биологију и ендокринологију Института „Винча“. Учесници су имали прилику да се упознају са експерименталним поставкама и методологијама које се користе у преклиничким истраживањима PDT и DLT, као и са принципима рада опреме и експерименталним приступима релевантним за развој нових терапијских стратегија.

Institute Researchers Participate in Horizon Europe GlioLighT Project Workshop
Researchers from the Institute Dr. Dragana Šeklić, Dr. Milena Jovanović, Dr. Vladimir Simić, Dr. Emilija Milović i Lazar Milović, participated in a workshop of the GlioLighT – “Next Generation Glioma Treatments” project, held on 1 and 2 September 2026 at the Vinča Institute of Nuclear Sciences, University of Belgrade.
The workshop was organized as part of the Horizon Europe EIC Pathfinder Open GlioLighT project and brought together researchers and students interested in the application of light-based technologies in modern approaches to the treatment of gliomas and other brain tumors.
The first day of the workshop featured a theoretical session during which members of the international consortium presented the fundamentals of laser applications in oncology, with a particular focus on therapeutic approaches to glioblastoma. The lectures and discussions covered topics related to photodynamic therapy (PDT), as well as a novel approach based on the direct application of light – Direct Light Therapy (DLT).
The experimental part of the workshop was held on 1 and 2 September in the Laboratory for Atomic Physics and the Laboratory for Molecular Biology and Endocrinology at the Vinča Institute. Participants had the opportunity to become familiar with experimental setups and methodologies used in preclinical PDT and DLT research, as well as with the operating principles of the equipment and experimental approaches relevant to the development of novel therapeutic strategies.
